bugs Profiles

Getting access to bugs

The only way to participate in bugs events is by being a member of a community which has brought the Stoke bot into their Discord server.

On this website are possible servers you could join! See Here

Creating a bugs profile

Members of communities who have access to the Stoke bot can generate a bugs profile by sending 0.003 ETH to the bugs Treasury wallet. See Here

Once sent you can then use the /bugs_profile command in the player_profile channel.

This command asks for your Ethereum wallet address. You must insert the same address that was used to send the 0.003 ETH.

Once sent Stoke then verifies that the address has sent the profile creation fee. It is important to note that you must create your profile the same day you sent the 0.003 ETH. This is because the Stoke bot will only query transactions made that day. So if you made payment the day before and attempt to create a profile Stoke will not verify your payment.

Player Profile

The bugs profile establishes a connection between a Discord user and their Ethereum wallet address. Player profiles is how bugs tracks community scores in Events and authenticates that competitors screenshots are their own. Your player profile is created in the Discord server you will represent in the Events.

Player profiles are used to identify the players in events and connect them with their bugs profile via their gamertag.

This allows bugs to verify that the competitors performance is their own. Because the gamertag that is given upon creation of a player profile is the gamertag the Stoke bot looks for when counting scores.

Members of bugs can create a player profile for each game bugs supports. Members can only update profiles if they are not currently competing in an event.

A player profile is created within the community server. By doing so, the player now competes for that community. If a player wants to represent a different community they can re-create their player profile within that community's Discord server.

Winners

10% Of Competitors Chosen

For every pay-to-play event hosted by bugs 10% of competitors will be chosen to evenly split 60% of the total Ethereum generated in an event. Let's give an example.

If there are 75 competitors in a bugs event a total of 0.375 ETH is generated (0.005 Eth Event Entry Fee)

10% of Event Entry fee's is earned by competing communities. When you pay 0.005 ETH to participate under community X's banner, community X retains 0.0005 ETH from that Event Entry Fee.

20% of the Eth generated will be awarded to 1 competitor within the community with the top Average score. In this example that lucky individual would be awarded .075 ETH.

10% of Eth generated is retained by bugs. In this example bugs would retain .0375 ETH.

So we have,
0.0375 ETH dispersed among competing communities
0.075 ETH awarded to a competitor within the top Average scoring community
0.0375 ETH retained by bugs

Leaving 0.225 ETH to be split evenly among 10% of competitors.

10% of 75 is 7.5, bugs ALWAYS ROUNDS DOWN in this instance so, 7 competitors will split the 0.225 ETH.
Which means 7 competitors will earn a total of roughly 0.032 ETH.

Event Games

The Finals

Overview

Players in The Finals events must compete in a tournament mode. Playing in ranked will not have any affect on the competitors score (Although at times Ranked may be the only mode available if Tournaments are not in Matchmaking). The event will start at 10:00 am PST and ends at 10:00 pm PST. In that time players must play a tournament and save a screenshot of the leaderboard at the very end of the tournament.

NOTE * see picture for an example of the screenshot, bugs will not accept screenshots that display the leaderboard of an individual round, the screenshots accepted are those that have the total scores across all rounds in the tournament.

ALSO NOTE * You do not have to win a tournament in order to submit a screenshot.

From that screenshot a point total is applied using the following;

Total cash from cashouts
Individual Combat Score
Individual Objective Score
Individual Support Score

Points

A competitors points are earned from the following criteria;

Total cash extracted
Combat Score
Objective Score
Support Score

From these criteria a competitor is given 1 point per 1,000 rounded to the nearest tenth. And the sum of those numbers is rounded to the nearest whole number.

From the example of a leaderboard screenshot a point total of 134 is given.
97.2 pts for cash extracted
16.9 pts for combat score
7.6 pts for objective score
12.7 pts for support score

When tallied this earns a total of 134.4 and rounded to the nearest whole number a total of 134 pts is awarded.

Selecting Winners

Competitors in a Finals event are first placed into brackets. Brackets are organized by the competitors points earned. There is a total of 4 brackets each of which has an initial draw percentage.

So, when a winner is chosen first the bracket is chosen and then an individual within that bracket is chosen. Your score in the event not only determines the bracket you are placed in, but also determines your odds for being drawn within the bracket.

For example, from the image below we see that the silver bracket will consist of competitors who scored 66 - 116 pts. Now, someone that scored 100 points will have a higher chance of being drawn then someone who scored 80 pts. These odds are determined by your percentage of points compared to the total amount of points within the bracket.

Community Winner

As Stoke counts scores individually for competitors, the bot also totals Average scores for communities.

The community with the top Average score is awarded 20% of the total ETH generated from the event.

As a result of winning, one competing member of that community will be selected at random to be awarded the 20% of ETH generated. A competitors score has no affect on the chance of being drawn for this reward.

Apex Legends

Overview

Players in Apex Legends events compete solo, this means only your score is counted towards the event not your overall team score. The event starts at 10:00 am PST and ends at 10:00 pm PST. In that time players must play a game of Apex Legends BR (duo or trio) and send their match summary screenshot to the Stoke bot.

Based off your placement, kills, and damage you will be awarded a score. A perfect score in Apex is;

1st place, 15 kills, and 4k damage. Earning 140 points.

Your performance in the event will affect your odds of being drawn for the prize. Anyone who participates by sending a match summary screenshot will have a chance to win the Ethereum prize. Those that perform well will have a higher chance of being drawn.

Points

Points can be explained by the image below.

Match Summary Screenshot

Now here is an example of Match Summary screenshot that competitors must send in their community's Discord server in the #sc_submission channel.

Note that I have blocked out the other players in the game, this is not neccessary for your screenshots.

From this screenshot 71pts would be earned.

XDefiant

Overview

Players in XDefiant events can compete in any game mode they choose. At the end of a match competitors must take a screenshot of the leaderboard and submit it to the #sc_submission channel in the Discord community they are competing under. From that screenshot the competitor will earn a point total placing them in a bracket, which will determine their chance of being drawn for the Ethereum prize.

Competitors have from 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM PST to submit their screenshot and be elligible to earn the prize.

Points are tallied from the following;
Kills
Deaths
Objective score
Support score
Damage

Points

Points are earned from the following in a leaderboard screenshot;

Kills
Deaths
Objective score
Support score
Damage

To calculate points the Stoke bot will take your KD and multiply it by the sum of your kills, objective score, support score and damage.

Stoke then multiplies that number by 0.1 and rounds it to the nearest whole number to get a competitors score.

From that score the competitor is then placed in either the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Buggin bracket.
